Two questions - SQL and Licensing |
|
Hi Guys,
I have two unrelated questions and I was hoping somebody would be able to answer them for me.
1. What are the pros and cons of using either TextSQL or MySQL?
for example my understanding is that MySQL performs better for more complex scripts and larger databases - how does this relate to cute news if say, you were planning on submitting ~3000 news articles a year?
2. Are there licensing issues for with using CuteNews.RU within a corporate environment (not to sell, but as a source of news within a company)
Is this question complicated by the fact that CuteNews.RU is based on CuteNews?
Thanks for any responses!

Although txtSQL is faster and more efficient than the flat file database used in original Cutenews there is a limit. I don't think it's wise to have a news file bigger than 10 MB.
So if you plan to submit 3000 news per year MySQL is the only choice for you.

There are no restrictions in using it. And it's based on Cutenews 1.3.6 which was free too.
