I was obsessed by making a blog without using WP, so I regulary crawled the cutephp's forum. There I saw all the wonderful hacks FI-DD was making and life was happy. The he started linking to this forum, but I thought nah, don't wanna change and stuff. But then I got new domain and I thought, why not give it a shot. And I was amazed and have never looked back.
Never heard of your 420 joke, so you'll have to explain that

Sounds like we have the same story. I saw the hacks and the link on cutephp's forum from FI-DD about cutenews with MySQL (which I always thought was a terrible idea.. til I signed up with GoDaddy and have tons of MySQL access). So yeah.. found this and haven't looked back since either. Honestly, I feel bad for all the people still using cutephp's cutenews. I don't know how they can stand it.
Oh.. I almost forgot.. 420 is when all the kids get together and smoke marijuana. So we all laugh when it's 4:20 and they go "look what time it is!" Everyone, pot smoker or not, knows that in this country... except maybe my parents.
