Suggestions. |
|
If it isn't too hard to add, a css cn_news_even and cn_news_odd for styling purpose would be a good idea Also good
idea would ba next-prev article in full story ( i don't know if script has it - didn't find it )
Does the names of the moths weeks and other ( in calendar and news ) can be changed by a launguage file ? I not, it would be a good choose to add this possibility.
Go to the http://cutesql.cu.funpic.de/cutesql/example.php?do=users&user=FI-DD and tap in to the search form any word. Its automatically redirect you to the rss feed.

Re: Suggestions and small error i suppose. |

Thanks for your feedback.
 | | If it isn't too hard to add, a css cn_news_even and cn_news_odd for styling purpose would be a good idea |
Yeah, that's new in the latest version of russian cutenews. I try to add it.
 | | Also good idea would ba next-prev article in full story ( i don't know if script has it - didn't find it ) |
That will be available.
 | | Does the names of the moths weeks and other ( in calendar and news ) can be changed by a launguage file ? I not, it would be a good choose to add this possibility. |
I try to add it.
I fixed that. And in contrast to the demo the search will work in the release.

I can help you finding bugs, like that - theoretically I could be a betatester if you like. Even with small amout of experience it is still one hand more to help. I'll post here what could I find. And don't thank me - I should be thanking you

edit: calendar is brokken And let me guess why
edit2: now he works
Lets go:
1. Translation:
Look at page title in browser when you are i cp
http://cutesql.cu.funpic.de/cutesql/index.php
tap incorrect username and password and you see:
"Benutzername und/oder Passwort falsch!"
System check
Writing permissions for cache Ja
Writing permissions for upimages Ja
Writing permissions for userpics Ja
"????????
???????? ? ?????????"
Below Title in URL
Names for images of quick tags
Description of template variables
Try to create template with name like "$#&*%(DSBHVBD@)(#$)"
and you'll see
Error
???????? ??????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ?? ???? ? ????
Try to delete any category
Are you sure you want to delete this XField? Please not that the data you entered will not be deleted.
[Yes] [No]
http://cutesql.cu.funpic.de/cutesql/index.php?mod=options&action=cqt
Names of quick tags
2. Suggestion
"Switch between HTML, Textile and MarkDown".
And as its says we should see it when editing and adding news. Not "text with br" and so on...
"News pagination'"
should be News pagination
Add help files from orginal cutenews
http://cutesql.cu.funpic.de/cutesql/index.php?mod=options&action=spam
We have error in spam.php on line 83
We don't have css style for edit comment
Edit news layout dosen't look good on all browsers eg. opera
??????? ??????: 30 September 2005 - 11:09
Go to System settings and look for Timestamp for comments:
ufff...
added:
Name for list of all pictures. Look at kopie-s-van-winter.jpg

Wow, good work. I fixed most of it (but not in the demo - too much work).
 | | edit: calendar is brokken And let me guess why

Somebody disabled it in the plugins.
 | | "Switch between HTML, Textile and MarkDown".

I never heard of textile and markdown. Can you tell me how each of the 4 settings should be named?

I don't have an error. Please specify.

Don't know why, yet.

I'm not able to adjust the layout for each different browser. I hate styles stuff.

Well text with <br> for my eye is MarkDown so single test would be a Textile, html is html, and html with <br> creates breaklines automatically. Try search http://sourceforge.net/ or google to lern more about them. Using them makes writting much easyer.
Error disappeared.

Rss user profile |

Go to the user profile, and click the RSS link for news headlines that user wrote. You will see 404 cos of the wrong link : http://localhost/cutesql/user=odin
And I've tryed to install cutesql on my host, but all I see after filling out database informations is...
500 Internal Server Error
but on localhost it works great.
edit:
button of search submit has "Suchen" instead of "Search"
edit2:
Also edit and delete links after cliking search, need to be changed:
"?????????????/???????"
edit3:
In the template for short story we have {alternating}, but in description we haven't
edit4:
Why do I can't install it on real server
edit5:
LJ-Password in Personal settings - I can't enter there anythig. Mabye this is just as I should work... ? I don't know
edit6:
We should have charset=iso-8859-2, or utf-8 istead of charset=iso-8859-1. My suggestion - charset=iso-8859-2 ( like the orginal cutenews has ).
edit7:
As I think everything works great After instalation, ( when system says that everythig is done ) there isn't any readme.htm file I should be rather Readme.txt
edit8:
And why I still can't install it on my host Buuuuuuuuu I still don't know what causes this error Help ?

Hi odin,
I have absolutely no experience with localhost. I only work with a real host.
I don't know if "sunburst" tested it on localhost or webhost but he didn't report any errors.
Let's wait what "Mr R" and "Gary" report but I suppose (and hope) it's not a script problem.
I will be able to fix the bugs you found on Monday evening.
 | | And why I still can't install it on my host Buuuuuuuuu I still don't know what causes this error Help ? |
Did the script create all the tables?

pm'ed
No tables at all. The install script isn't starting. It show ( when I open index.php ) 500 Internal Server Error.
To be exact.
I've tested it on localhost -> no problems. And using localhost I found all that I wrote above.
I've tryed to install cutesql on my real host -> 500 error, after opening index.php file.
checked error log:

I have installed cuteSQl, but I have error 500 too, you can see it here
www.misreflexiones.net/cutesql/
"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, postmaster@misreflexiones.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log."
I have looked chmod and other things but installer doesn't work

Upload everything again, it will work for sure. And one more thing - Fi-dd, what about dates in calendar and entire system ? Do you think that you can make them editable via language pack ?
edit:
index.php?mod=help§ion=date
we have to copy the php.net manual turtorial in to this section.
edit2:
Templates:
[date-link] ? [/date-link]
[date-link] and [/date-link]
And one more thing. In ajfork we could add a default template to a category. And this would a great solution, in relation to automatic category list creation. Even if I create a sinple page for lets say, gallery including template called galery, still on main page it will be displayed in category list. And if I enter there from main page it will not be displayed appropriately.

Sorry been busy so haven't reported back... I was testing CuteNewsSQL on my own Linux Server running Apache 2/PHP4.3/mySQL4 on my network.
I don't install locally but SSH access to my box to install scripts.
Here is my spec:
Server: Fedora Core 3
Web server: Apache (includes PHP4.3 / mySQL 4 / sendmail / PEAR / PERL / PYTHON / phpmyadmin)
I did not get any error installing it. The only error i got was, see: http://cutesql.cu.funpic.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11
Table 'cutesql.cutesql_users' doesn't exist - 23:13:38
But this didn't stop my installation from failing.
Best thing to do is CHMOD all your files 775 and folders 777 (for folders- only the ones that you need to write to). The only problem is i still can't write to my image folders. The funny thing is that is works for FI-DD. So i'm going to find out why. It's probably more to do with my own server conf.
thank you,
Sunburst

FI-DD try to read my post above.
If you add a news without any text just adding a uploaded image like <img src="blablablablabla.jpg" width="" height="" border="" alt="" align="" /> the title of the news is "<img src=..." . This isn't look good in browser, because of the image form, that browser thinks must create. And a blank image form as title is nothing good.
edit:
In "Insert image" section, should be something like:
Insert image
Add thumb linked to image
Insert thumb
edit2:
Enable/Disable Comments 2.0 Enable or disable comments for each individual news item. ?ivind Hoel deactivate
Enable/Disable Comments 2.0 Enable or disable comments for each individual news item. ?ivind Hoel activate
see in plugins menager.
edit3:
This:
 | | I powiedźcie sami czy ten ot?ż pan nie jest przejawem najczystrzej wręcz kultury ? Będąc promotorem mody i odpowiedniego zachowania, wciąż pięknie wychodzi na zdjęciach :) |
after pressing Print link, converts to something like this:
 | | I powied?cie sami czy ten ot?? pan nie jest przejawem najczystrzej wr?cz kultury ? B?dąc promotorem mody i odpowiedniego zachowania, wcią? pi?knie wychodzi na zdj?ciach :) |
And thats why cutesql should have 8859-2 encoding. Because of Cutenews original encoding I've got used to it. With utf-8 sometimes are some problems. That is why we should convert cutesql to 8859-2
to edit:
