Sorry I've been slow! |
|
I'm sorry I've been slow and barely around these last few days. I've been moving and starting a little part time job to keep me occupied and to help me pay for some expenses like internet.. well I just got in the new place and I don't get internet until the 25th.. but that's okay cause I found some free internet and it seems to go very fast and it hasn't cut out once yet! So it looks like I'll be around even though I don't have internet
I'd hate to have to drive half an hour just to get online everyday.. oh well that's just my little pointless life update.

Well I feel all settled where I live now so I should be a little faster. I'm excited to see and try all of the user membership code I've seen being worked on that's floating around here. I think there's a lot of potential just waiting to be found and utilized here.

You say sorry you've been slow, I say "sorry I've been totally abscent for the last month "
Been so busy with exams and I've begun at a new work... what a lame excuse, and so I've found no inspiration to continoue to fresh up my site as it has practically gone dead, and then instead I've just been a stalker here, watching your topics and see how you've fixed problems and added new stuff, and felt so ashamed because I haven't replied to naught...
Hopefully, as summer vacations now kick in, I will have some sparetime to start a new project and yet again work with this wonderful script.

I feel the same way. I started a job but I already quit cause I hated it lol. I still read every post but many things are above me or I feel are like pointless for me to reply to and I feel guilty too.. but I still find lots of useful things to modify in my main cutenews.ru install just for that time when I go nuts making sites again. Don't let your sites die off man! Just when I think running sites is a sucky idea.. they surprise me with some new thing that they do for me that makes me smile and I'm so glad I didn't give up. I always gave up every time I tried this and this time I swore I wouldn't give up.

Haha, you're quite a character Scott
I'd say you should start searching for some work at a webdesign company, i'd bet they hire you if you show them you're portfolio

lol thanks man.. I like that I'm not an average person. I'm crazy. But, I think somewhere in my insanity is some brilliance. You read my mind though. I started putting together http://design.scodal.com a few days ago... has some kinks.. some major kinks yet.. but I was going to call up companies just blindly for hours out of the phone book and barely talk to them at all.. just get the company owner to go to the website and decide what he thinks from there. I figured the portfolio site would sell the services hands down when they compare it to their own site. What do you think? Like.. local businesses around me... who's gonna put their sites together in Canton friggin Ohio? Some average local 'HTML guru' that makes their sites as if they were designing it for 1997. I just have to convince them that they need a new site, an upgrade, or something! I don't know.. I just know I hate money but I need to start making some.
I figured if I called like 50 people everyday for a week straight or something I'm bound to end up with about 1-10 jobs.. I mean I'd be pretty upset if I just called 250 people and I couldn't even sell 1. Plus, I was going to make a payment page so they can type in the CC info without even needing to tell me over the phone using PayPal.
This all in hopes to hold me over until Adsense finally makes more than 1/3 of what I need to make every month
