Haha, I feel bad spamming my obsession to create sites with cutenews.ru but yes.. I just finished linkvertise.org and it's cutenews.ru with a mysql database. I hope it pays off! I guess I'll go showcase it

Sometimes you remind me of the guy who created the million pixel page and made a million bucks in a few months.
I hope you will remember where it all began when you are making the big money.

Haha, sometimes I remind myself of the same guy.
So guess what frickin happened to scottdizzle.com today! I was adding pictures to the site basically just adding news. Then I noticed that the news were pointing to the wrong stories in full story mode. I have txtsql for that site.. I should have never done that. So I downloaded story.MYD and thought I'd find where it messed up. Well I found a news item written in the site file twice (which was probably why it was pushing all the full story content off by one news item). So I removed one, saved, reuploaded. Now I get lots of errors and can't see news. I even undid my changed and resaved.. Does context perhaps change some of the formatting of the .MYD files or something? I just wish I would have done MySQL in the first place.. and I wish there was some way to rebuild all 546 content items real fast lol.. The news file is 300 kb. That's a lot of typing I get to do over. But, if I'm going to be adding news like that I should do MySQL anyway so I'm just going to suck it up and do it right.

Too late I've already started putting it back together by hand lol. I'm ambitious. My MYD file seems to be corrupt. It generates errors when it tries to load it in both show_news.php or in the admin panel. I don't know why. Don't worry about it, lost cause now.
So, anyone feel like re-adding their comments to
http://www.scottdizzle.com/view.php?cutenews-ru.html
??? hehe I feel so bad about that... but I really loved your comments about cutenews! I felt like we were doing a good thing spreading the word lol. It looks 10 times more appealing to visitors if they see other people giving it shout outs.

Something happened and I can't log in to the admin panel on this site. I reuploaded the plugins and inc directory. Are the users managed in this area? How can I force a user into my database if I can't log in?
If I overwrite my installation will it ruin my MySQL database that is attached?
edit: I figured out how to add a new user as admin in phpmyadmin with the pass 35f504164d5a963d6a820e71614a4009 (for 'pass') by trying this out on a test mysql installation. It worked and let me log in with the new user. So, I tried on scottdizzle's database doing the same thing and it still doesn't log in. I know it's creating the users. I searched and it shows that the user has been created in phpmyadmin. Could something be more serious that it wont let me log in?
