Request to fix a RSS issue

Hi all,

Let me first of all say that CuteNews.ru is excellent and extremely easy to setup! Thanks to all who made CuteNews.ru possible for us!

Upon installation a found a issue with the RSS I'd like to point out:

If there are categories the RSS feed does not display the category's names but instead shows the full URL. This causes the text to be very long and overlap one another making it unreadable. See example here: http://english.cutenews.ru/cuteru/rss.php/rss.xml

Unfortunately, I've never worked with coding RSS/XML before so I have no idea how to approach this to fix it.

Also, in regards to RSS, is there a way to change how the RSS views news entries? If you have a full story the RSS only displays the short story. Is there a way to make a script that says: If news is a short story, display the short story. If news is a full story, display the full story and NOT the short story. Unfortunately the templates won't allow the script to detect if the story is short/long and display it accordingly.

Any help would be appreciated on this matter.

I don't understand. You need to have the full URL to link to the story. A feed which doesn't link to the story is quite useless. Can you make a screenshot of the problem?

yes, I have the same problem.

Also, my rss isn't working. Example: http://www.infragame.com/nds/2007/06/26/zelda-para-estas-navidades--123.html . If you click the rss button, it doesn't show the new in rss format. Is there any fix for that?

In your rss template try changing this:

	Code:
	<category><![CDATA[{category}]]></category>

to this:

	Code:
	<category>{category}</category>

About your rss feed not working: It's working fine for me.

Yes, it´s working, but the story doesn't appear, rigth?

I don't know. Try to remove the [CDATA] stuff, too.

Besides, the full story rss feed is supposed to show the comments. If you want to have the story you can use the normal rss feed.
