I changed the russian version of cutenews from flat file database to MySQL database.
|
eather that or FF-DD was ubducted by aliens and forced to speek there language o.o

Actually i am doing the translation to Spanish languaje, that caracters are from Russian alphabet.

No, of course it's not supposed to be like this.
These letters are not Russian. They are substitutes for Russian letters because most computers don't display the Russian signs correctly by default.
I have to change it into English along with the plugins and the template tags.

I had Russian classes in school for about three years.  That's why I can read Russian. But I don't understand it. I have a vocabulary of about 10 words. 
Without the language files of this version it would have been impossible for me to translate it into English.

That's the user friendly url plugin. It creates a .htaccess file, the calendar, the archives and lists the categories.
It's way to complex for me to understand its coding - but it works.

When you install a hack in cutenews the hack loads every time you load the script - even if you don't use the hack anymore.
-> All the hacks you install blow up the code.
A plugin is not added to the original code. It only gets loaded when you need it.
With the plugin system you can enable and disable the hacks with one single mouse click. That way the plugin does not spoil the original code.
