 Changing from Cutenews to Cutenews.ru and license for this? |

Hi,
I have been using CuteNews 1.4.5 with a license since some years ago. Now my webhosting company will upgrade from PHP4 to PHP5. I have some questions regarding cutenews.ru:
Can I simply export my huge news.txt and a huge archive to Cutenews.ru's latest version and use it with the same categories and users? Is there a manual for this?
Is CuteNews.ru latest version compatibel with PHP5?
Is there a licensed version so I can take delete the "Powered by..."? I want even to donate some money to you if you dont have a licensed version.

Yes, that's fine. After installing cutenews.ru check out this:
/path/to/cutenewsru/convert/index.php
The cutenews.ru manual can be read at /path/to/cutenewsru/readme.html or if you want a quick clickable solution:

Yes, but as far as I know it isn't right from the download. FI-DD wrote how and what to modify to make cutenews.ru PHP5 ready but I can't seem to find that thread at the moment

There is no "powered by" text that will show up on your site. It's hidden in your code this way you get complete freedom to create your site however you want and the people that created and work so hard making this script for us continue to get credit for their work.

You'd probably want to contact Lexa (the original designer of cutenews.ru) or FI-DD (the brilliant PHP mastermind that continually improves, upgrades, and moderates this script and forum).
